Smart caching
|

Xpertise have developed new smart caching software that minimises database round trips and data parsing. This new software shows a much improved speed when generating dynamic pages, in some cases 10 times faster. New infradox solutions will automatically make use of our new caching system and previously developed solutions can be upgraded upon request. Contact us for further information.

Xpertise have deployed several new web solutions for a.o. Photostage (UK), United Nations/UNFAO (Rome,Italy), GPD (The Hague, Netherlands), Taverne Agency (Amsterdam, Netherlands), Marianne Majerus (London,UK), Sunshine Photo Agency (Almere, Netherlands) and Proshots SPAIN (Barcelona). We have also been working on new soon-to-be-launched (Ajax driven) versions of existing sites for several of our clients a.o. The Cover Story, Axiom, Minden, Food and Drink and Hollandse Hoogte. Infradox Syndication Server
|

Xpertise have developed Syndication Server to automatically exchange files and data between solutions that are hosted within Xpertise's facility but also to 3rd party solution deployed elsewhere. Syndication Server allows any Infradox database to act as a "publisher" that publishes all or specific changes and following a set of rules (eg certain authors, specific territorial rights, unrestricted only etc). Xpertise have rewritten the front end libraries that we use to develop Infradox solutions. The new version of Infradox Icon offers many new functions that are now possible because of emerging technologies like Ajax and wide support for dom scripting. Examples are "keyword suggestions" as you type.

Infradox Storage Broker Solution
|
|
Xpertise are now deploying Storage Broker version 2. It has built-in support for distributed database transactions (data is automatically stored in 2 separate databases), in-memory caching and automatic database load balancing of retrieval requests to guarantee high availability of master files. Infradox Notification Server

Xpertise developed a new (service)application to centrally monitor and manage notifications that different applications may post. Notification Server can notify users/administrators of important events or errors by e-mail, phone and audible alerts.

Infradox DataMatic

Xpertise have developed a new server side application that can be easily configured to process, standardise and clean-up meta data.
DataMatic runs as a Windows Server service application and can automatically link content to authors, apply territorial and user based restrictions, create image sets, extract unique names (e.g. persons, animal names, event names etc.), remove unwanted data from captions (e.g. e-mail addresses, web addresses), normalise captions (end sentences with a dot, capitalise sentences etc.) and much more. DataMatic can also be configured to find and replace or find and add data, and the service can apply rule based defaults. DataMatic can process new files and can reprocess data as changes are made to files that already online. Contact Xpertise for further information.

Infradox Locale Manager

The new version of Infradox Locale Manager allows our clients to translate constants, page fragments, e-mail templates and other web site text to be easily translated. You can install the plugin to translate the files off line or Xpertise can install the software on your web server with vnc access.

The latest release (build 6.0.0.52) enables users to download all the high resolution images in an authorised order as a single lossless compressed file. The contents of the file can be extracted using eg WinZip on a PC or Stuffit on a Mac.

Xpertise shall deploy the new server side software of the CDS plugin on Wednesday 16 March 2005. As of this date current users of the CDS plugin will have to use the latest plugin version. A setup program - and change documentation - is available for download via Support. The setup includes IDAC version 2.0 with support for taskbars and shortcuts to often used functions.
