AS can be used to combine eg live search results from other parties with results from your own database by use of the Infradox partner API. It is also possible to create an Infradox AS web site that makes use of third party databases only. For instance if you run a picture library that represents other agencies and you have no own content.
Advantages
Infradox AS offers many advantages as your partners will not have to send you files, there is no complex workflow, you have no storage costs for high resolution files and you don’t have to edit any meta data. Everything is automatically up to date always. Even though you don’t need to have any high res files on your web server, you can still have a client facing web site with all the picture library functions – e.g. lightboxes, galleries, orders, invoices, high res downloads and so on.
API broker Middle-ware
Our new API broker middle-ware takes care of connecting to the supported API’s and of returning the results to the web server where finally the dynamic web pages are created. The API broker software allows you to prioritize certain API’s and it supports dispersion of search results. For instance x-files from agency A, x-files from agency B and so on. The software is multi-threaded which means that it searches all of the API’s involved at the same time, waits for the response, standardizes the results and sends it back to the web server for further processing.
Caching
The API broker middle-ware uses a caching mechanism that stores search results and retrieved meta data for even faster performance. The software can be configured to keep data in the cache for
several minutes up to several hours.

Xpertise-ICT BV also offers other means of working with content partners. 1) We can syndicate data only between you and others on the Infradox platform, no high res files have to be copied as these are centrally stored in our network. 2) We can syndicate data from 3rd parties by reading their data feeds, high res files are retrieved on-the-fly. 3) We can process files and data from your partners that they supply via FTP or on hard disks etc.
